Court in Moscow punishes American who fell asleep in children's library

A court has arrested an American for drunkenly entering a children's library in Moscow

Moscow's Khoroshevsky District Court has arrested American Nikum William Russell for ten days after he drunkenly climbed into a children's library in the middle of the night and fell asleep there. The decision was reported by the press service of the capital's courts of general jurisdiction.

Russell was accused of committing an administrative offence under part 1 of article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences - petty hooliganism. According to the court, the US citizen "drank alcoholic beverages, then was found on the yard territory in the nude, expressed a clear disrespect for society, citizens and public order". For all of the above, he was detained by police officers.

According to Izvestia, on 6 May Russell had an argument with acquaintances in a bar before breaking into the library. According to the man, he was "kidnapped", but in the end he simply left the establishment by taxi, then broke a window in the building of the children's library, climbed inside and fell asleep.
